A Brazilian wax is a type of bikini wax. With a brazilian wax, the hair from the vulva (outer and inner labia), perineum, anus and buttocks is completely removed. A strip of pubic hair (in the shape of a strip or triangle) may be left on the front.
The most common types of brazilian waxes are the standard brazilian and full brazilian. With a standard brazilian wax, a small line or vertical strip of pubic hair is left above the vulva. With a full brazilian wax, the pubic hair is completely removed.
This small line or vertical strip of pubic hair is commonly known as the 'landing strip'.

4. Some time is given to allow the wax to harden briefly.
5. One edge of the wax strip is pulled up and used as a tab to quickly pull off the rest of the wax. The wax strip is usually pulled in the opposite direction of hair growth.
6. Wax is reapplied and pulled off to remove hair from the genital area, buttocks and anus.
7. Check again and remove any stray hairs.
8. The remaining pubic hair (or landing strip) is then trimmed. The remaining pubic hair is sometimes trimmed to a particular pattern.
The results from a brazilian wax may last between 3 to 6 weeks depending on your hair regrowth rate.
Growth of pubic hair is usually minimal during the first two weeks and noticeably increases in the third and fourth weeks. Hair growth is usually quicker in the summer months as heat stimulates hair growth.
